Clinical Research Institute HUCH Ltd. is a company owned by the Biomedicum Helsinki Foundation. It is responsible for clinical trials of pharmaceutical companies or individual investigators in compliance with the Good Clinical Practice guidelines in accordance with the EU Clinical Trials Directive in the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa. International cooperation provides Finnish patients with an opportunity to take part in high-standard clinical trials in an ethically supervised environment.
Clinical Research Institute HUCH aims to offer new products in health care, based on Finnish medical research, and to develop new forms of treatment in cooperation with other research institutes.
As a company owned by the Biomedicum Helsinki Foundation, Clinical Research Institute HUCH acts as a service party for the center for medical research and training.
The company administers the research facilities at the center that are owned by HUS.
Furthermore, the company also manages, for example, the conference and congress services, communications, and basic operations serving the users of the building, as well as the foundation's accounts, fundraising, and grant applications.
The company's service activities are constantly developed to meet the changing needs of the researchers at the Meilahti campus.
